Trinityhouse debate teams are tops

Trinityhouse Little Falls debate teams are a force to be reckoned with in 2024.

The first school term of 2024 has been a good one for the Trinityhouse Little Falls debate teams.

According to principal Shaun Hansel, term one was marked by notable achievements and promising developments for the school’s debate teams.

“Trinityhouse Little Falls proudly hosted the initial three rounds of the Senior Regional League in February, earning commendations for our top-notch facilities and the exemplary conduct of our students.

“Our senior team has engaged in six rounds of the SACEE League, where they performed admirably, securing an impressive 13th place. Noteworthy performances by our senior debaters, including Matthew Hill [44th place], Refiloe Mohlabi [39th place], and Julian Pillay [22nd place] in the Regional League further highlight our team’s dedication and skill.

“Additionally, we’re thrilled to announce the introduction of two junior teams this year. Their enthusiasm and hard work have been truly inspiring. Our two teams have ranked 11th and 19th respectively in the western region.

“This is a phenomenal feat, and we are so proud.”

Shaun congratulated Motheo Mathiane for ranking 47th, Radhiyyah Parton for 44th, Melokuhle Lukhele for placing 27th and Courtney Raynard for ranking 11th.

“Both our seniors and juniors are off to the Championship League in May due to their expectational performances this term. We extend our best wishes to them as they continue to represent our school with pride and determination,” he concludes.
