Academic excellence celebrated at Crawford

Crawford Ruimsig learners recognised for academic excellence at awards.

Crawford International Ruimsig invited learners to attend and celebrate academic excellence at an awards ceremony hosted at the school on April 29.

The hall was filled with smiles, laughter and competitive energy as every learner wanted to see themselves on the stage receiving certificates for academic excellence.

Certificates were awarded to the top 20 learners who performed outstandingly in each grade with the help of teachers.

According to Crawford’s marketing officer Lindsay van Boven, it’s a school event that happens every term. The school moderates learners’ average marks and the highest 20 receive certificates.

“This award ceremony is important because it helps us award learners for their academic achievements and motivate others to start working hard to be part of the next term’s top learners,” Lindsay said.

Crawford congratulates all achievers for their hard work and dedication in academics. The school is looking forward to seeing more competitive achievers in the next three terms.

These are the top learners from each grade:

• Grade Eight: Cailey Mercia Cruickshank (91.99%)
• Grade Nine: Khumoetsile Monyatsi (89.66%)
• Grade 10: Callum Naidoo (93%)
• Grade 11: Buhle Magwaza (90%)
• Grade 12: Roscoe Landon Botha (95.2%)
