According to Sonja Bezuidenhout, the Roodebeeck and Roodenation coach, the competition was a crucial step for the teams, as all teams must compete in two local competitions to qualify for the Provincial Championships in May.

“The next Gauteng competition was on March 29, once again at Roodebeeck. There are another two local competitions before Provincials. Top teams will then go through to the National Championships to be held in Klerksdorp in July,” she said.
