Havies se Layla verkies tot Gauteng Lions o.13-dogterskrieketspan

Havies-krieketspeler maak golwe op die provinsiale verhoog.

Layla Maré, ‘n talentvolle o13-krieketspeler van Laerskool Dr Havinga, is onlangs tot die o13 Gauteng Lions dogterskrieketspan verkies.

Volgens die skool se woordvoerder, Lizelle Kies, sal Layla vanaf 29 November tot 2 Desember aan ‘n provinsiale toer deelneem wat vir haar waardevolle ervaring sal bied en haar aan krieket van die hoogste gehalte sal blootstel.

“Tydens die toer gaan sy en haar spanmaats teen van die land se voorste dogterskrieketspanne te staan kom. Die spanne van Limpopo, Vrystaat, KZN en Mpumalanga bestaan uit van die topspelers in hul onderskeie provinsies,” sê Kies.

“Ons Havies is uitgesonder trots en ons weet Layla gaan beslis haar skool en provinsie se naam hoog hou tydens die toer,” sluit sy af.
