136 Gr 1’s start school at Die Ruiter

The learners were warmly welcomed for the start of their school year.

Laerskool Die Ruiter kicked off the 2026 academic year with a warm welcome for 136 eager Grade One learners.

The little ones started their big adventure on Tuesday, January 13, and were greeted with open arms by teachers and staff.

Departmental head René Scholtz set the tone for the year, saying, “Welcome, new Grade One learners, to an exciting adventure where you’ll learn, play, and grow with new friends and teachers. Be brave, be kind, and ask lots of questions. Remember that trying your best and being yourself is what truly matters as you start this new chapter of fun and discovery.”
