Twin sisters with unique names begin Gr 1

Their names may be short, but their steps towards education are big.

When schools officially reopened on Wednesday, January 14, The King’s School West Rand welcomed its learners to the school, and among them was a pair of twin sisters with unique short names, Ee and Oo Maseko.

Their names have drawn curiosity and attention from both teachers and other learners at the school. Speaking to the Roodepoort Northsider, the twins shared that they are enjoying their first day of school and have made a lot of friends.

“I am excited to be at school, and especially because I had a Zulu class this morning,” Ee shared with a big smile on her face.

While the two share a strong sibling bond, each of them is developing their own interest both in the classroom and outside. This day marked the start of what promises to be an exciting journey for them, and they look forward to a great future.
