St Catherine's Convent has invited prospective 2027 Grade 8 learners to attend an exciting information evening on February 17.

2025 marked the 50th consecutive year of achieving a 100% pass rate for St Catherine’s Convent and the school is gearing up to share their secret with prospective Grade 8 learners and their families at the school’s Information Evening on Tuesday, February 17.

According to the school’s principal, Terri O’Donovan, St Catherine’s is excited to share how they assist their learners to unlock their futures by nurturing confident, capable young women who are prepared for a world of opportunity.

St Castherine’s Convent matriculants achieved a 100% pass-rate for the 50th consecutive year.

“The information evening is aimed at showcasing our philosophy of values-driven education, academic excellence, and a holistic approach to developing each learner to her full potential,” she says.

The school, which turns 70 in 2027, sports a rich history. It was founded in 1956 by the Cabra Dominican Sisters. The aim of the school is to provide quality, Christian-based education focusing on academic, cultural, and sporting excellence based on over 800 years of Dominican tradition.

“Our matriculants of 2025 achieved 113 distinctions between them, working out to an average of almost 3 distinctions per learner. They left an indelible mark on St Catherine’s Convent,” adds O’Donovan.

St Catherine’s matrics of 2025 scored an impressive 113 destinctions.

“They not only upheld our St Catherine’s traditions, but initiated new ones that strengthened our school spirit. We watched them proudly as they grew from wide-eyed Grade 8’s during the peak of Covid-19, to become accomplished and confident individuals who are ready to step forward into the next chapter of their lives.
