Agape's Walk the Talk brings community together
Agape Christian School strengthens community engagement through annual event.
Agape Christian School hosted its annual Walk the Talk fundraising event on Saturday, May 30, bringing together learners, parents, and staff for a day of fellowship, fun, and community spirit.
According to the school’s social media manager, Tarryn Elaine, the event serves as one of the school’s key fundraising initiatives, providing an opportunity for the Agape family to strengthen relationships while enjoying a variety of exciting activities.

“Agape places great value on building meaningful connections with learners and parents, and the event offered the perfect setting to nurture these relationships in a positive and engaging environment,” she said.
The day began with enthusiastic displays of school spirit as each grade gathered to perform their unique war cries. Participants embarked on a 3.5km walk through the surrounding area, demonstrating teamwork, unity, and determination.

Following the walk, everyone returned to the school sports field where a festive atmosphere awaited. Learners and families enjoyed a range of activities, including face painting, fishing games, and thrilling go-kart races.
“The event proved to be a tremendous success, with strong support from the school community throughout the day. Importantly, the walk was completed safely and without incident, while learners enthusiastically participated in the various activities on offer,” she expressed with a smile.
Elaine expressed gratitude to all parents, staff members, learners, and volunteers whose contributions helped make the day possible. The overwhelming sense of community and fellowship was evident throughout the event, reinforcing the values that Agape Christian School strives to instil.
Elaine believes the event successfully achieved its fundraising and community-building objectives, leaving participants with lasting memories and a renewed sense of connection within the Agape family.
