Bless you, stranger

What a surprise it was when she said that they did receive a card from a client who picked it up.

On Saturday 23 August I took my mother, 86, to Checkers Horizon View to do her shopping.

On her way to the till she took out her credit card from her handbag in order to pay, but then remembered one item she needed and went to that specifi c isle, with the card in her hand. Getting back to the queue, she realised that she had lost her card. This is a credit card that do not require a pin and anybody who picked it up would have been able to use it. She was so shocked.

After I searched in the isle and through all the other isles and could not fi nd it, I went to a manager to fi nd out if it was handed in, without much hope!

What a surprise it was when she said that they did receive a card from a client who picked it up.

It was my mother’s card and this incident had her in tears. It is so comforting to know, despite all the negativity in our country, there are till honest people who care for others. On her behalf, I wish to thank the person who picked up the card and handed it in. Please be assured that it is appreciated and you saved an eldery lady a lot of worries. May God bless you.
