Welcome back to the new academic year, Roodepoort!
Back to school wishes from Princess Primary's principal.
Princess Primary School principal John Sithi writes:
Dear learners, parents and community members.
On behalf of the entire Princess Primary School family, I warmly welcome you to the new academic year. As we begin this exciting journey together, I’m filled with gratitude and enthusiasm.
As the awardee (first position) of the National Teaching Award under the category of Excellence in Primary School Leadership in Gauteng Province, I’m humbled by this recognition. However, I know that this achievement wouldn’t be possible without your tireless support, dedication, and partnership.
This year, we’ll focus on:
1. Parental Involvement: Your active participation in your child’s education is vital. We encourage you to attend parent-teacher conferences, volunteer in classrooms, and engage with school events.
2. Learner Discipline: Our learners will continue to develop self-discipline, responsibility and respect for themselves, peers and staff.
3. Effective Communication: Open communication is key. Please stay informed through our school’s communication channels and don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
4. Learner Safety and Care: Your child’s well-being remains our top priority. We’ll maintain a secure, nurturing environment that fosters growth and exploration.
To our learners:
Embrace this year with curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Strive for excellence, take risks, and learn from setbacks.
To our parents:
Thank you for entrusting us with your precious children. Your involvement and encouragement make a significant difference.
To our community:
We value your support and collaboration. Together, let’s create a vibrant, inclusive community that uplifts our school.
As we embark on this new year, remember what Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.”
Let’s work together to make this year an exceptional one. Welcome back, and let’s soar to new heights.
Our motto says, ‘One Step Ahead, Let’s continue to lead’, and the rest will follow.
