Swim Jozi Developmental Gala a splashing success

A total of 11 swim schools took part in the gala with 380 swimmers participating in the different categories.

The Swim Jozi Developmental Gala held at The King’s School West Rand on Saturday, March 18 was a great success as Kalyn Markgraaff stated, “The day was absolutely incredible, so much endless spirit and excitement.”

A total of 11 swim schools took part in the gala with 380 swimmers participating in the different categories. The prize giving consisted of two senior trophies, two junior trophies, a spirit award, and participation medals for the three to four-year-olds.

The day was filled with supporters cheering the swimmers on, the smell of sunscreen, and the click of timers as each swimmer reached the other side of the pool. Swimming schools were able to showcase the progress their swimmers have made as well as network with each other.
