Parkrunner achieves 300th milestone

Parkrunner Beth celebrates her 300th milestone.

Beth Libby-Neale celebrated her 300th parkrun on March 23 which is a huge achievement for her being part of the parkrun for six years.

Being consistent with running from the age of 12 to attending parkruns every weekend to take the ease off from the weekly schedule, Beth dedicated herself to being part of this wonderful adventure of meeting new people and keeping active.

“I love doing the parkrun and it feels good achieving milestones. At first, it was about volunteering then as I started slowly building up to the milestones. It became fun, especially when you do it with friends and family. Parkrun needs volunteers to put on events every week so now and then I would volunteer and that is how the consistency increased. The volunteers are such an awesome community receiving and welcoming you with warm and loveable energy,” Beth says.

Celebrating such a huge milestone, Beth encourages more people to join and be a part of this great community initiative.

“At my school in Blairgowrie, we have an incentive where if a learner does 18 parkruns they get a Comrades certificate as 18 parkruns is equivalent to doing a Comrades Marathon. I have completed 11, so running is in my blood,” she adds.
