Local fitness advocate empowers middle-aged women
Do you want to know how to navigate life twists and turns as a middle-aged woman? Radiokop resident Marna Grobler shows you how.
A Radiokop resident is making waves on national television with a programme encouraging women to view midlife as a time of growth, confidence and new beginnings.
Middeljare Mojo met Marna is a talk show currently airing on DStv’s VIA channel, presented by local fitness enthusiast and 50AndMe founder Marna Grobler.

The programme offers a fresh and honest perspective on midlife, moving away from negative stereotypes and focusing on empowerment and practical guidance. Drawing on her own experiences and conversations within her community, Marna aims to open discussions that many women find difficult.
“This programme is a first of its kind,” said Marna. “I’m so excited to have the opportunity to chat with women in their midlife. I feel it’s an age that sometimes gets a bit overlooked.”
She believes midlife should be celebrated rather than feared.
“Women need to know that their life really only begins in their midlife, and there’s so much more to look forward to. Getting older should be fabulous, instead of you feeling overwhelmed. We are our energy and not our age,” she said.

Each episode explores topics affecting women daily, including health, fitness, menopause, skincare, financial wellness, retirement planning and career reinvention. The programme also seeks to inform younger women so they can better prepare for the years ahead.
Show director Saskia Hill said the series challenges the fear often associated with ageing, noting that many women approach midlife with anxiety and uncertainty.
“This programme shows how you can redefine your midlife and better manage this second chapter, even if the world says you’re too old to try,” she said.

From local roots to a national audience, Marna hopes the show will inspire women to live boldly and embrace every stage of life.
Middeljare Mojo met Marna airs on Mondays at 20:00, with repeats on Wednesdays at 17:30. It is also available on DStv Catch Up and DStv Stream. For more information, visit www.50andme.co.za or follow @marna50andme on Instagram.
