Suspect caught in possession of R100k worth of narcotics
The Johannesburg Flying Squad seized the narcotics during an operation in the Honeydew area.
A suspected drug dealer was arrested in Honeydew on May 28 after members of the Police Emergency Services’ (PES) Flexi unit recovered packets of Cat narcotics worth an estimated R100 000 during a targeted operation.
According to Johannesburg Flying Squad spokesperson Raymond Sambo, officers acted on information regarding alleged drug-dealing activities at a property in Zeiss Street at about 20:15.
Sambo said upon arriving at the address, members searched the premises and discovered 14 packets containing Cat.

The suspect was immediately arrested on charges related to dealing in drugs and was detained at Honeydew Police Station for further investigation.

Police confirmed that suspects linked to recent operations are aged between 30 and 43 and are expected to appear in various courts soon.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by Gauteng PES to combat drug dealing and organised crime in communities across Johannesburg.
