St Teresa’s learners bring books to life

Learners from St Teresa’s junior and senior primaries in Craighall Park and Rosebank had dress-ups and decorations for their annual readathon.

St Teresa’s School launched their annual Parents Teacher Association (PTA) Readathon with a book character dress-up day.
The dress-up was held at the junior primary school in Craighall Park and a classroom door decoration competition at the senior primary school in Rosebank.

Computer teacher and marketing liaison officer Lianda May said the readathon was a PTA fundraising event for grades 00 to 12 held during the school holidays from August 5 to September 5.

“The year’s theme is superheroes and the aim of the readathon is to encourage our learners to read as much as possible during the holidays. Learners are sponsored for the number of books they read, the number of minutes they read or both, with all proceeds going towards PTA projects.
