Highlands Park Football Club ended its 2025 season with a prizegiving ceremony

Highlands Park Football Club won 9 leagues and 2 cups.

Proud parents, guardians and spectators came out in numbers to fill the Highlands Park stands on November 2 for the soccer season’s prizegiving.

Teams and players from U6 to U15 were recognised for their hard work over the past months.

The club’s junior coordinator Debbie IIouze said, “Highlands Park Football Club won nine leagues and two cups. The U13s were unbeaten and won the cup and their league games.”

Ilouze added that the football club not only grew but saw more girls join the sport.

The prizegiving was a chance for the club to thank the coaches, parents, and players for their dedication.

Highlands Park Football Club is made up of players from diverse backgrounds, from places such as Hillbrow, Berea, and Boksburg.

IIouze concluded that the sport was a way to uplift the community and the children who play the sport.

“This sport gives children something to do while keeping them safe and developing them.”

The day ended with a friendly match between the coaches and the parents, which resulted in the parents winning 4-3.
