Parktown Boys learner helps team claim U14 football glory
Grade 8 learner Bokang Langa played a key role in his team’s district U14 tournament win while balancing school and sport with passion and discipline.
Parktown Boys Grade 8 learner Bokang Langa has made his school proud after helping the school’s U14A soccer team win the district tournament against top schools.
Bokang’s love for football began at home, playing alongside his father before joining the Old Parks club, where his skills began to flourish. He looks up to teams such as Kaizer Chiefs, Switzerland, and Real Madrid for inspiration.

Reflecting on the tournament, Bokang said the final match was his favourite moment of the season.
Scoring a goal after a strong build-up was a highlight, made even more special by the team’s determination and unity.
Off the field, Bokang is just as committed. He takes part in rugby and first aid and manages to balance his schoolwork and extracurriculars with remarkable focus.
His motivation to help people shines through his dedication to first aid.

Bokang said football has taught him the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and preparation.
Before matches, he finds calm by listening to gospel music and resting to stay mentally and physically ready.
