Ster-Kinekor Rosebank premieres Lego Movie
ROSEBANK - Rosebank’s @The Zone was packed to capacity with enthusiastic roars and cheers from the many Lego fanatics who filled the venue for the Lego Movie premiere on 9 March.
The movie, which officially opens in cinemas nationwide on 14 March, was a 3-D spectacle of note. Those in attendance had a chance to see some of the most incredible Lego works Johannesburg had ever seen.
Jayson Datnow from the Gauteng Lego Users’ Group said he was ecstatic about the movie premiere and hoped that it would inspire more Lego user groups to form in South Africa. “The displays we built for the premiere are valued at around R100 000. We are the only Lego user group in South Africa and we would like to encourage people of all ages to come forth and join us,” he said.
“Lego building blocks have taken the world by storm and we hope that this movie will encourage even more people to join the fun,” he added.
Apart from all the Lego displays, children and their parents had opportunities to play all sorts of games, enjoy face-painting, as well as Playstation games.
