According to reports, one of the men responsible for the shooting, Hamyd Mourad (18), has surrendered and turned himself over to police custody.
The other two men, who are still at large, are reported to be relatives in their 30’s and authorities have released flyers with their names and photos to the public.

Outrage has been expressed by the public on an international scale – mainly relating to the issue of freedom of speech that has been threatened by the attack. This attack has caused the public to question whether individuals or corporate entities really are able to freely express themselves without the fear of consequences.
Charlie Hebdo, the satirical French newspaper, is known for expressing their anti-Islamic views and it is for this reason that there have been some mixed responses by the public about freedom of speech versus racist cartoons.
