KEW – TWO SUSPECTS were apprehended at Katso Guest Lodge in Kew on 14 January at 10.45pm after a patrol car noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle in the car park. The car, a Toyota Corolla, had been found to be hijacked in Pietermaritzburg lasy year. Implements were found inside the vehicle that appeared to be used for housebreakings.
Police went to the lodge reception and found that the drivers were renting a room at the lodge. Two males were taken into custody by police, a 26-year-old and a 37 year-old. They are expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court soon.
Warrant officer Moses Maphakela said, “These are two individuals that are suspected to be highly dangerous and are wanted in other provinces for breaking the law.”
