According to Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo of Yeoville police there was a dispute between security guards and the occupants of the building.
Sergeant Zondo said, “The police were called to the scene at around 9.30am to assist with the issue, there were a number of angry residents on the streets who were burning tyres in the road.”
According to Zondo there were no injures reported.
He added, “The situation has settled down between the security guards and the residents.”
