Police hunt motorbike robber
PARKVIEW - Although Parkview police recently apprehended a suspect riding a black motorbike without a registration plate, suspecting it was the motorbike robber who has been involved in many robberies in Parkview and Sandton, it turned out the man was not the real suspect.
According to Lloyd Ramavho, spokesperson for Parkview police, a 34-year-old man fitting the description was apprehended by police on 23 April, after he was spotted riding a black motorbike with no registration plate.
“Police are hoping he might assist with information relating to previous motorbike robbery cases in the area,” Ramovha said.
Ramovha could not confirm that the man was linked to any previous robberies, which were committed by a suspect with a similar description, and has been released from police custody.
Ramovha confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
Police have urged the public to report any suspicious motorbikes in the area.
Do you think that the man apprehended is linked to any of the other arrests in the area?
