iSentry implemented in Craighall and Craighall Park

CRAIGHALL - The CraigPark Residents' Association (CRA) has implemented a new surveillance system.

Security company CSS Tactical has installed, and is currently managing, a network of iSentry cameras in Craighall and Craighall Park.

These cameras are strategically placed at entry and exit roads, as well as at intersections and traffic circles throughout the suburbs, thereby monitoring all activity within the area.

The intelligent software used in the iSentry system uses ‘learned’ behaviour by tracking and remembering everyday movements.

Behaviour or activity that the cameras pick up as abnormal or unusual will be sent as an automatic alert to the CSS Tactical control room, which is monitored on a 24 hour basis.

The alert is then assessed by the control room. Should the situation be deemed dangerous or suspicious, a CSS Tactical unit is then dispatched.

This new innovative system is expected to allow CSS Tactical to build a forecasting pattern which will in turn assist with predicting future criminal activities and hotspots.

This system is supported by high speed fibre internet that was installed last year.

CEO of CSS Tactical Ricky Croock said, “This is steering the suburbs of Craighall and Craighall Park into an era of innovative security beyond many first-world country neighbourhoods. It will enable residents to enjoy their community in a way that is much safer than before.”
