Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said, “the man suffered server injuries after he was in touch with high voltage of electricity and was declared dead on the scene.” Botha said when paramedics arrived on the scene he had already died. He could not be resuscitated.
Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele from Johannesburg Central Police station said, “his job card indicated that he was an electrician and the cause of the electrocution is unknown.”
The man is believed to be in his 40’s.
