On 31 October at about 4am on the corner of Becker and South streets police received a tip-off about men offloading goods from a truck.
Upon arrival, Yeoville police found three males offloading groceries from a truck.
Contable Thabo Malatjie from Yeoville police said, “They were asked about the ownership of the goods and they could not account [for it], on further investigation it was established that the goods were taken from a hijacked truck in Hammanskraal early in the day.”
The suspects were arrested and taken to Yeoville Police Station. They are expected to appear in Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
