Three men bust for house-breaking equipment

YEOVILLE - Three males were arrested for possession of house breaking equipment on 15 November in the afternoon at the corner of Yeo and Kenmere street in Yeoville.

Three men were arrested for possession of house-breaking equipment in the afternoon of 15 November on the corner of Yeo and Kenmere streets in Yeoville.

According to Constable Malatji of Yeoville police, they were called to the location where they found three men had been apprehended by community members.

“It is alleged that the suspects were trying to break into a shop when the owner found them. He screamed for help and members of the community came to assist and apprehended the suspects,” he said.

Malatji said police were called to the scene and the suspects were found in possession of a few crowbars, which are suspected to be used in breaking into premises.

The suspects were detained and are expected to appear at Hillbrow Magistrates’ Court soon.
