Northview High School gets a visit from Sandringham police in anti-drugs campaign

SANDRINGHAM - Sandringham police officers continued their zero tolerance of drugs in schools campaign, they visited Northview High School on 19 February.

SANDRINGHAM Police Station officers continued their campaign of zero tolerance for drugs in schools when they visited Northview High School.

Principal Colin McDonald was happy that the police visit, and that no drugs or dangerous weapons were found. “The constant visits by the police at the school will have an impact on the children,” he said.

“They will talk about it and the word will get around. These kinds of visits do make a difference, the children have all the information and they will go and meet others and tell them to stop.”

McDonald also praised Sandringham Police Station for its hard work and dedication in helping fight drugs and substance abuse in schools.

Warrant Officer Mamabolo Mohlaume said they were pleased with the progress they had made in schools and would continue to make sure that schools were safe.
