Community Police Forum meeting on 9 March

LOMBARDY EAST - Statistics from the local Community Police Forum (CPF) show that crime is on the rise, with the hijacking and armed robbery of residents up since the beginning of the year.

Lombardy East and Rembrandt Park CPF will be having a meeting on 9 March when Blockwatch, security companies, residents and the police will be present.

This is an essential platform for all residents in Lombardy East and Rembrandt Park who are concerned about crime in the area, and who want to know the latest trends so that they may better protect their families.

The police and Blockwatch will be sharing crime statistics and trends to watch out for. Residents have the opportunity to ask pressing questions and receive immediate feedback, as well as to make suggestions on the progress of getting speed bumps into the area to reduce both accidents and crime.

The meeting will start at 6.30pm at Lombardy East Methodist Church, corner of Queen Alexandra and Wellington roads.
