According to a Facebook post in the Craighall Park group, a man was allegedly attacked on Friday night near Jan Smuts and Buckingham Avenues.
The post read:
Hey Craighall Parkers, just a warning – one of my guys was attacked last night. He was walking away from Jan Smuts on Buckingham when three BM stopped him and asked for directions, forced him down to the river (Scout Hall side) at gunpoint, beat him up badly and took everything he had on him. I have reported it to CSS but just want everyone to be aware and warn staff members. He can’t remember what time it was as he was knocked out cold, but I last saw him at 18:00, so it was after that at some point. Please tell staff to walk in groups and be wary. I read something similar has happened in the area earlier this month, so they’re clearly not going to stop with this MO anytime soon.
