Emtee announces sobriety
JOBURG – Twitter reacts with messages of support for the rapper.
In the past, local rap superstar, Emtee has built notoriety for glorifying drug and alcohol use in his music and has been caught in compromising situations as a result – but now he’s clean and serene.
Following a month-long hiatus in Bloemfontein, the multi-award winning musician took to Twitter to announce his sobriety.
“I’m now sober from ALL Narcotics. I don’t drink alcohol and I’m grateful for all my supporters. I’m back,” Emtee said.
The rapper said he used to make music while under the influence and asked that he not be judged and thanked his fans for their undying support
“Now we only talk positive. Don’t bring that evil near me,” he said.
