Two held in Hillbrow for hijacking a Pizza delivery biker
HILLBROW – The victim was on his way to deliver pizza.
Two men were arrested in Johannesburg by the police after they had hijacked and robbed a pizza delivery biker in Hillbrow.
The victim was on his way to deliver pizza, said Captain Xoli Mbele, the spokesperson for the Johannesburg Central Police Station.
“While stationary at the red robot, the two suspects approached and one of them pointed a firearm at him and they took the motorbike and drove off,” Mbele said.
“The pizza company then reported the matter to the tracker service company and the police. The tracker was then activated and police apprehended both suspects and a motorbike, a toy gun, and empty boxes of pizza were recovered.”
A police investigation is still underway and the suspects will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.
