Young magician to raise funds for children with cancer
PARKTOWN NORTH – With his magic, Doron Itzhak Lubie has been engaging audiences for seven years now, including attending countless children's parties.
A learner from Eden College Lyndhurst is excited to showcase his magical skills at Fairmount Bowling Club while supporting a good cause.
Bedfordview Lions Club invited 18-year-old Doron Itzhak Lubie to perform his magic tricks on October 30 at 14:00 to help raise funds for children with cancer.
Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organisation. The club is best known for fighting blindness. It also volunteers for many different kinds of community projects including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry, and aiding seniors and the disabled.

Lubie has been captivating audiences with his magic for seven years and has performed at several big stages, such as South African’s Got Talent and Arnold Talent Show, as well as children’s parties. Doron is still in Grade 11, but he longs to travel around the world performing magic after high school.
Doron expressed his excitement and pride about the prospect of performing for a large audience at the bowling club. “I feel very excited and proud to get the opportunity to hopefully get a chance to perform for a big audience,” he said.

“It will be a real ‘wow’ show as I will perform magic illusions that I acquired years ago but did not have the knowledge to perform until I was older.”
Besides entertainment, there will be a flea market with plenty of food available at the event. The Bedfordview Lions encourages anyone who wishes to perform at the event to call them on 062 440 3126 to book a spot. A half-split of the money raised from the event will be allocated to the participants and the organisation.

Doron is available to perform at birthday parties for children, weddings, corporate events, and other types of events. People can email him on doronlubiemagician@yahoo.com or call 074 727 1294.
