Rosebank malls evacuated due to bomb scare
ROSEBANK – Another threat means Rosebank Mall is shutdown again.
Rosebank Malls have yet again been evacuated due to a threat on October 21, less than 50 hours after the first one. It was declared safe at 19:52 and is clear for shopping tomorrow morning.
SAPS Provincial spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello said that the same procedure was followed and no threats had been detected.
Evacuation Update: We have been approached with a threat and local authorities have requested that we evacuate the mall as of 4:50pm today, 21 October 2021. We will update you as soon as the mall is open and it is safe to re-enter. Thank you

Rosebank Management District has stated that Rosebank Mall and @TheZone have been evacuated due to a bomb scare on October 19.
Update 21:00, the mall and the surrounding area was searched and declared safe.
Local police and the bomb unit are searching the area, all seems clear at this stage.
We have requested that our staff, tenants and shoppers evacuate the mall as of 5pm today, 19 October 2021. We will update you as soon as the mall is open and it is safe to re-enter. Thank you

“Law enforcement agencies are onsite leading the evacuation and simulation exercise. Mall entrances on Bath and Tyrwhitt Ave remain closed. We’ll keep you updated,” read the Tweet from the District.
