School wishes former Grade 12 learner well
Apax matric graduate from Houghton achieves several other awards on top of seven distinctions.
A learner who lives in Houghton and attends school in Auckland Park has been congratulated for her matric achievements.
Top matriculant Fatimah Abdulatif Kapadiya of Auckland Park Academy of Excellence (Apax) completed her Grade 12 last year. The senior administrator at Apax, Fazela Amod said it was difficult to overstate the meaningful contributions that Fatimah made to her school and the community at large, as she was always an active participant in discussions and was supportive to her peers.
“Throughout her schooling career, Fatimah demonstrated a unique thirst for success, in and out of the classroom environment. Besides being the deputy head girl and valedictorian of her class, Fatima has also been a regular nominee and recipient of prestigious awards at our institution since inception due to her hard-work, leadership, and commitment. Fatimah excelled academically in all subjects yearly, achieving academic colours every year from Grade 4 to 12,” said Amod.
Kapadiya achieved seven distinctions. Her achievements were acknowledged by the Gauteng Department of Education as well as the Association of Muslim Schools and she was the recipient of the following awards:
Johannesburg North District Awards:
- Fatimah was placed in the top 10 learners in the district,
- Achieved first position in accounting.
Association of Muslim Schools Awards:
- First position in accounting AMS – Gauteng and northern provinces.
- Placed in the top five learners with an aggregate of 93.29%.
- Top achiever in accounting at AMS level.
- Top Apax learner.
APAX Principal’s Awards:
- Honour to Apax award
- Apax Dux award
- Deputy head girl 2021.
Amod said, “We wish Fatimah all the best in her future endeavours and say, ‘go ahead with your instructive voyage. It will be a long voyage; we are confident that you will achieve what you set out to with great distinction’.”
