Outreach programme thanks residents for contributions
Parkwood residents thanked for enabling Meter Mate Outreach to contribute groceries, toiletries and more to beneficiaries.
Emma Naledi of Meter Mate Outreach writes:
Dear residents of Parkwood;
We are writing to express our deepest thanks for your recent donations to Meter Mate Outreach. Your contribution helped us to make Mandela Day such a special celebration. We spent the day on July 18 at Eventide Home for the Aged in Emmarentia and were able to give each resident a personal care hamper, a good lunch and some memorable entertainment by the dancers from another one of our beneficiaries, Moletsane Foundation.
We also donated clothing and stationery to the children of Moletsane Foundation.

From the Salvation Army Eventide Home for the Aged we would like to say with much joy in our hearts, thank you for a wonderful Mandela Day treat. You really made the day so memorable. We had so much fun with song and dance.
From the children of the Moletsane Foundation, thank you so much for the groceries. This is really an awesome gesture. The residents who were at the function said thank you so much as they do not have to buy toiletries for at least five to eight months.
Your ongoing support makes it possible for us to spread joy and make lives a little happier.
