Guests share their thoughts on the importance of open dialogue
This intimate gathering brought together Chris Weylandt, David Higgs, Ofentse Pitse and the host, Mashudu Modau for an evening of meaningful connections.
MASHUDU MODAU: The making moments fireside conversations were important because the environment allowed entrepreneurs to have honest and vulnerable conversations to a certain level. You never really hear stories about entrepreneurs that have made it; share their vulnerable stories.
Rupert & Rothschild presented the second edition of Making Moments: Fireside Conversations and the Gazette asked guests about the importance of having honest conversations and these were the responses…
OFENTSE PITSE: Conversations usually begin around trees or fires which made today’s event more beautiful. Those conversations ignite truth, and vulnerability and propel people toward being real and authentic which is what the occasion is all about. To have a brand like R&R facilitate such conversations is important because people leave with lessons.
BOITUMELO GAETSEWE: I really believe in the power of conversations because we talk and share our stories and realise how connected we are as human beings. When we talk, we realise that we have strengths that are some people’s weaknesses, but we can leverage off of each other by speaking up.
