St John’s Preparatory walked away victoriously from the SA National Kids’ Lit Quiz final

St John's Prep has won the national title five times.

St John’s Preparatory boys secured victory once again in this year’s finals of the Kids’ Lit Quiz, held on February 17.

This followed their win in 2019.

Joseph Moultrie, Daniel Crane, Saahil Shah-Naidoo, and Ben Anderson rose to the occasion and displayed their intellect and teamwork.

Head of marketing and communications Jacqui Deeks noted that St John’s faced off nine top-tier teams and proved that they were an unbeatable force.

“Overcoming challenges and surpassing over 100 teams in the regionals, this triumphant win truly cements their place as literary champions,” she said.

The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an annual literary quiz for children aged 10–13, It is held in SA, Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong.

The quiz was started 28 years ago by the quizmaster and former University of Auckland lecturer, Wayne Mills to promote the ‘sport of reading’ among children with a passion for literature.

St John’s Prep has participated in the competition since it started in the country, winning the national title five times.
