St Teresa’s Senior Primary School swimmers flaunt their skills

Marian House emerged the overall winner, followed by Lourdes House and McAuley House in third place. Lourdes House earned the spirit trophy.

The atmosphere at St Teresa’s Senior Primary School was electric as the Grade 4 to 7 swimmers showcased tenacity, determination, and healthy competitiveness at the annual inter-house night gala.

Marketing and communications manager Lianda May said the spirit and camaraderie among the houses was palpable and reflected the true essence of sportsmanship.

“Marian House emerged as the overall winner, followed by Lourdes House in second place and McAuley House in third place. Lourdes House distinguished itself with unparalleled spirit, and earned the coveted spirit trophy.”

Grade 6 learner Aimee van der Merwe stole the spotlight by breaking two records. Additionally, the Marian Grade 4 and Grade 7 freestyle relay teams left their mark by shattering records.

Aimee van der Merwe and Kiana Kalpage were recognised as senior victrix ludorum and runner-up senior victrix ludorum. Caitlyn Shaw and Kelly Lees were the junior victrix ludorum and runner-up junior victrix ludorum.

Senior Primary principal Lindsey Verster expressed pride in the girls’ achievements, “Congratulations to all our participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. Your hard work and passion truly exemplify our Rosie spirit.”
