Warriors With A Purpose visits Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital with spoils

Warriors With A Purpose handed out bras, Easter eggs, toiletries, and goodies to cancer patients.

Warriors With A Purpose ensured cancer patients at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital, in the children and adult oncology wards, had a sweet start to the holidays on March 26.

The founder of the NGO, Renèe Singh said Warriors With A Purpose reached out to show hope and support to both children and adults fighting cancer.

“We are here to give hope and support to the young and old. We are also here to raise awareness and education is also vital in this journey.”

Singh added that the NGO wanted to bring smiles and joy to its warriors as they fought cancer tirelessly including the many challenges cancer brings with it.

Bras, children’s school uniforms, Easter eggs, teddy bears, and toiletries were handed out.

Cancvive Cancer Organization collaborated with Warriors With A Purpose to support the cancer battle, “We believe we are stronger as we create awareness, hope, and support in this journey. Cancer is real and early detection saves lives.”

Lung cancer patient, Elizabeth Dhlamini said receiving a bra will make a difference in her cancer journey.

“I had a mastectomy in 2020 after being diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and followed through with chemo and radiation. The cancer has come back this year but in my lungs.”

Dhlamini added that the side effects of chemo included loss of appetite, shortness of breath and painful joints.
