Alert: Power from Cydna Substation will be interrupted
Areas supported by the Cydna Substation, Fairway, Melrose North, Illovo Ext 1, etc, will have their power supply interrupted between 09:00 and 17:00.
Customers are urged to be aware of a power interruption at Cydna Substation scheduled for today.
The interruption will take place from 09:00–17:00 .

The following areas will be affected:
Fairway,
Melrose Ext 1 and 2,
Elton Hill Ext 2,
Melrose North,
Illovo Ext 1, and
Melrose North Ext 2, 3, and 4.

The interruption is necessary to perform maintenance work on City Power’s network, which is part of their programme of constantly striving to provide better service.
As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to always treat their electricity supply points as live.
