Wanderers hockey hits the ground running with their first practice of the year
Registration for Wanderers hockey is open now, and available on a first-come-first-served basis, so Craig Till, Wanderers chairperson, encourages players to contact them as soon as possible.

Wanderers Hockey saw its first practice for the year on March 8, with children from ages 5 to age 15 basking in the sun while honing their eye and stick co-ordination to kick off the hockey season.

Craig Till, Wanderers chairperson, explained that Wanderers hockey created a development space for athletes looking to participate in a high performance environment.

Registrations are open for a limited number of qualifying players. Players are encouraged to contact the director of hockey, Lorna Graaf, via email: hockey@thewanderersclub.co.za.
Spaces are limited, and players are encouraged to make contact as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Practice times are as follows:
• U5–U7 – Saturday – 08:00–09:00.
• U9 – Saturday – 09:00–10:00.
• U11 – Saturday – 10:00–11:00.
• U13 boys and girls – Saturday – 11:00–12:00 and Monday – 17:30-18:30.
• U15/U17 boys and girls – Tuesday and Thursday – 17:30–18:30.
• Goalkeepers – Tuesday and Thursday – 17:30–18:30.
