Rocking Future Career Expo continues to help matric learners explore a variety of career fields

On March 19, the event made an exciting stop at the National School of the Arts and St Mary’s School, Waverley, giving learners a valuable opportunity to discover tertiary education options and job opportunities.

With South African youth unemployment at critical levels, initiatives like the Rocking Future Career Expo are vital in empowering learners with knowledge and direction. For 24 years, this dynamic programme has helped young South Africans navigate their career paths, ensuring they step into the world with confidence and clarity.

“This journey was nothing short of spectacular,” said Kay Cheytanov, founder of 3RC, the company behind the career expo. “The level of engagement from learners and educators exceeded our expectations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, affirming the expo’s role in shaping future careers.”
In 2024, the Rocking Future team embarked on a five-month nationwide tour, visiting 231 high schools across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Gqeberha, and KwaZulu-Natal. Along the way, they distributed 29 423 copies of the Future Guide Magazine, an essential resource packed with career insights, motivational stories, and practical advice for school leavers exploring future careers.

The 2025 expo kicked off in January with an electrifying start, and continues inspiring learners nationwide. The Rocking Future Career Expo is free, ensuring that every learner, regardless of background, has access to valuable career guidance.

As the Rocking Future Career Expo continues its nationwide tour, thousands more matric learners will receive career guidance and explore job opportunities. With a strong focus on bridging the gap between education and employment, this initiative gives young South Africans the tools they need to take control of their futures.
