Norwood Young Stars shone on and off the field in 2025

Norwood Young Stars is committed to developing young athletes and giving back to the community

Norwood Young Stars, a premier youth football club, has not only been shining on the field but also off the field by making a positive impact in the community with a range of events.

Founder of the football club, Venita Masisi, said, “On Mandela Day, the club collaborated with SAPS and community members on a cleaning campaign, promoting social responsibility and community spirit. The event saw the team and community members unite to clean local parks and streets, spreading awareness about the importance of keeping our environment clean.”

The football club also participated in the Sabela event, showcasing the diverse talents of young athletes, including modelling, storytelling, and dancing.

Norwood Young Stars also hosted an anti-bullying event with SAPS, where the Norwood SAPS Station commander educated children on how to identify and deal with bullying.

Masisi concluded, “These events demonstrate Norwood Young Stars’ commitment to developing young athletes and giving back to the community. The club’s focus on social responsibility, teamwork, and individual development is truly inspiring, and we’re proud of their achievements.”
