I Am An African Foundation hosted a reading, writing and play inclusion club
The reading, writing and playing club saw children from Katlehong, Yeoville, Houghton and Norwood.
I Am An African Foundation on July 11, hosted over 50 children from across Johannesburg for a vibrant day of reading, writing, and play at the Paterson Park Multipurpose Centre Library.
The event carried a strong anti-bullying theme and offered a safe, joyful space where children explored important life lessons through books, drama and art.
The NGO Founder, Ntsiki Ledwaba explained, “The day’s highlight was the reading of Stand Up Against Bullying: The Guardian of Kindness. A story about Alex, an ordinary child who becomes a superhero through acts of empathy, courage, and kindness.”
The children not only listened attentively, but they performed scenes from the story, coloured in pages of Alex’s adventures, created their own affirmations, and learned how powerful kindness can be.
