Khasu, WDO founder, said the event was necessary to honour the achievements of women across various industries, while reinforcing the importance of independence and empowerment. WDO’s vision is to instill and implement confident building measures into women individually and collectively.
Mtshazo explained that she met the founder at church, where she was passionate about the well-being of those around her.

“As I began to get to know her, I could tell that she was passionate about community work. The founder also speaks about the importance of knowing one’s purpose, which is important, especially if it involves God, so that one can be sure they are aligned with what God has called one for.”
Administrator for WDO Ntsoaki Malope noted that she joined WDO after meeting the founder studying the same course in university. “I joined WDO to make a difference. To be part of an organisation that always encourages women to do their best in their respective fields.”
