Highlands Park FC U8 takes big win over Dream Big Kid
The U8 teams for Highlands Park FC and Dream Big Kid took on each other in a junior football match at Highlands Park Football Club.
Highlands Park FC’s U8 team produced stellar performance to defeat Dream Big Kid (DBK) 4–1 in a junior football match at Highlands Park Football Club on July 5.
Highlands Park coach Loyiso Mkutu said, in the first half his team did not do well, according to what he expected, but they got better as the game progressed.

“We started a bit slow. Maybe we did not warm up or the weather conditions got in the way.”
He added that the team got their heads in the game in the second half, resulting in great scoring opportunities, but believes there is still room for improvement.
“We should be doing better. There is always room for improvement.”
Despite the defeat, DBK coach Nkosikhona Maphumulo was happy with the way his team played for the first few minutes of the first half, thereafter a series of substitutions happened, disrupting the rhythm of their game.
“We had to make subs, and that’s when our problem started.”

Maphumulo said his side had a weak defence, allowing Highlands Park to take advantage of their chances.
He stated that his players struggled to play as one in the second half, with their attacking plan collapsing as the match continued.
Although disappointed with the final score, Maphumulo praised Highlands Park for their great performance.
“The opponents played well. Congratulations to them. They took their chances and played with confidence.”
He said the defeat only inspires him and his team to keep going.
