Rap newcomer joins the Dream Team

JOBURG - New kid on the block, Gigi Lamayne, has been signed by talent management agency Dream Team SA.

Lamayne, who is the current holder of the Jack Daniel’s Music Scouts title, has been signed to the team that any up-and-coming South African artist would die for the chance to be a part of.

She was announced the winner of the talent search last year at the finale, where she also gave a notable final performance that won over the judges and the crowd.

It was her fearlessness in her music and dance that has caught the eyes of South Africa’s music industry.

The talent management agency represents big hitters in the music industry including Khuli Chana and Muzart.

The most recent single released by Lamayne titled Ice-Cream has been burning up all radio frequencies and gaining considerable attention by other artists in the game.

On signing with the company, Lamayne expressed her gratitude for the new people she will be working with, explaining that they are now family and not merely colleagues.

She is not only doing big things in South Africa, but this week she will also travel to one of the most publicised music gatherings in the world, the Miami Music Conference.

“We are excited to welcome on board a supremely talented Hip-Hop artist who we have no doubt will go on to become a household name in SA as she breaks ground for female rappers on the African continent,” says Refiloe Ramogase, director at Dream Team SA.

With female rappers, including Nomuzi and Nadia Nakai, beginning to break out into the female rap scene in the country, Lamayne has a great support system to see her to her ultimate success.
