Sprite is looking for fresh, new talent
JOBURG - The Sprite Uncontainable Refreshing Tour is returning to Joburg in search of talent.
Since hitting up MaryFitzgerald Square in search of South Africa’s best and most uncontainable talents, they have continued the search in Kwa Mashu, Chatsworth and Gugulethu and are now heading back to Jozi once more in search of the country’s best MCs, dancers and graffiti artists.
Sprite, one of the most prominent brands that visibly support the hip-hop community, will hold auditions in the three fields at Campus Square from 30 April to 1 May.
Sprite is excited to offer South African creatives another opportunity to showcase their talents and let their voices be heard on an international platform.
Once the first stage of the nation-wide search comes to a close on 24 May at Maponya Mall, there will be a panel of three judges – including well known South African rapper, Reason – who will choose the final 12 contestants from each category to compete for the top spots.
The winners of each category will not only attain bragging rights nation-wide, but will also be mentored by their experts in each field who will help them on their journey in the entertainment industry and assist them with developing their talents to be the best that they can be.
It is no surprise that this contest is one of the biggest hip-hop talent searches in the country, with masses of people swarming the venues to get their 15 minutes of fame or future in the limelight.
Sprite just recently ended their search for South Africa’s best dance crews in the form of the South African Hip-Hop Dance Championships, held earlier this year. The winners of which will get the chance to compete in the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships later this year.
