This week’s line-up at The Orbit
BRAAMFONTEIN – Get ready for another week of fantastic music over at the Orbit Live Music & Bistro.
It’s not only about jazz at The Orbit this week … there’s the Out There Sessions which consists of poetry and jazz.
The sessions will be anchored by Myesha Jenkins and Natalia Molebatsi with Wally Serote. It’s happening on 19 May at 8.30pm.
Another highlight is an evening with Black Jesus Experience (BJX), an eight-piece band that will fill the room with a danceable blend of traditional Ethiopian song and 21st century groove. The band has an incredibly diverse background spanning five countries, and the music reflects each member’s culture and heritage.
This week’s line-up is as follows:
- 20 May – Kunle Ayo ‘A twist of Fela’ at 8.30pm.
- 21 May – Nana Simopoulos World of Jazz (US) at 8.30pm.
- 22 May – Black Jesus Experience (AUS) at 8.30pm.
- 23 May – Swazi Gold Feat. Tlale Makhene at 8.30pm.
- 24 May – Nduduzo Makhathini’s One People Feat. Kesivan Naidoo at 6pm
