Krispy Kreme finally heads to Jozi!
ROSEBANK – If you thought getting your body beach-ready was going to be easy, think again as the global doughnut icon, Krispy Kreme, is finally hitting South African shores!
After recently signing a development agreement with local company Krispy Kreme Doughnuts South Africa (Pty) Ltd, the delicious doughnuts will have a total of 31 stores over the next five years. The first one is set to open in Rosebank, although the exact location is still unknown.
“We are delighted to bring the joy of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the City of Gold. We have found the perfect spot for our first store and will announce its exact location closer to the opening. The City of Johannesburg is widely considered the window into the African market and is a melting pot of cultures, races and nationalities. It was only natural then that Africa’s economic hub was chosen as the first home for the first-ever Krispy Kreme store in Africa,” said CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts South Africa, Gerry Thomas.
South African fans will be able to indulge in a mouth-watering selection of at least 16 types of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as well as a variety of locally-roasted coffee flavours.
